Frequently Asked Questions
Your first session is all about getting to know your story, needs, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, explore what’s most important to you, and discuss how I can best support you.
If this is your first time seeking therapy, no worries! I make sure to discuss the general structure of therapy and am happy to answer any questions you may have about the process.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma (including complex and developmental trauma), dissociation, identity exploration, acculturation and relationship challenges. Many of my clients hold LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC identities and are processing the impacts of systemic oppression, religious harm, immigration, intimate partner violence, and childhood abuse; seeking a space where they don’t have to explain the basics of who they are.
At this time, I do not accept insurance.
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide superbills for possible reimbursement through your insurance plan. Many clients choose to self-pay for more privacy and flexibility in their therapy journey.
